Fishing:

Pennsylvania is a diverse state with a wide variety of fishing opportunities. There are over 83,000 miles of streams and rivers, along with 4,000 inland lakes and ponds covering 160,000 acres, plus 470,000 acres of Lake Erie. As you can imagine, this diversification translates into many different types of fishing and different types of fish.

vBeaver County and its four adjacent counties received 165,200 trout during the 2004 preseason stocking of more than 50 bodies of water.

 

 

 

 

Hunting:

vThere are more than 1.4 million huntable deer in the Commonwealth.

 

vPA has more than 1.13 million licensed hunters, which represents the third highest total in the country.

 

Beaver County is part of three separate Wildlife Management Units that comprise 26 state game lands totaling more than 70,000 acres.

We close our park to ATV riders and open it exclusively to hunters during the two weeks of rifle deer season.  The deer shown below was taken just this year.  Having quad accessibility certainly makes it easier to extract those trophies.
