IT’s OFFICIAL! We have great news for the upcoming year. We finalized a 4 year land lease for another 222 acres making Mines and Meadows 34% larger for next year and many more to come. This has been an impressive year under new management, and we are putting it all back towards giving our great off-road community a better experience time and time again. We could not have done it without our family of customers that makes Mines and Meadows what it really is. We thank you and invite you to enjoy this ride with us that we here call work and you call play, but we hope that everyone is having fun along the way. It was the late founder “Robert J. Svihra’s” dream to create a real resort community for the off-roaders of the Northeast and with this year’s additions we are getting closer every day. We not only signed this lease in 2016, our wonderful staff have been very busy this year, see below a list of this year’s achievements:

On April 4, 2011, Clairton police officer James Kuzak was shot 5 times while answering a home invasion call. Sustaining gunshot wounds to his chest, arm and side which severely injured his lung and spine, he spent the past year recovering from his injuries.
His rehabilitation schedule took a surprising twist recently when he became the first to complete a new Adaptive ATV Program at Mines & Meadows. This groundbreaking partnership with UPMC offers people with spinal injuries and other disabilities the chance to once again experience freedom and independence.

- Opened Trailhead Powersports to provide our riders with a place to purchase the quick fix parts and gear for the weekend
- Purchased 93 acres that were previously leased by M & M. This may not have increased the size of our park but was very essential in the longevity of it. The commitment of the Svihra Family shows as the park will never get any smaller than 600+ acres with this land purchase.
- Purchased 7,500 sq/ft of buildings that will soon serve as the future home of the following:
- Purchased an additional 1 acre lot and home that is attached to our campground. This large and abandoned house has just recently been removed to accommodate multiple rental log cabins for the 2017 season.

MINES & MEADOWS LLC. CELEBRATES THEIR PROPERTY EXPANSION
Wampum, PA, October 17, 2016– Mines & Meadows LLC has just purchased the last of the acreage that was not independently owned by the Svihra Family. These 92 acres, previously being leased for trails, parking and the check-in office area, were crucial in making sure our park will continue to thrive, and now promises that Mines and Meadows will never diminish in overall size. The primary motivation for acquiring this piece of land is so we can start beautifying the office area and the overall look of the park. We want to make this a true off-roaders resort destination. This was a long-time dream of previous owner “Bob Svihra” who passed away 2 ½ years ago. You can keep up with the future plans of Mines and Meadows ATV/RV Park at www.minesandmeadows.com
This is going to benefit the resort in many ways and gives us the opportunity to lease even more acreage and hopefully expand the park in the coming years!
